Noteworthy details include macrocarpa lined ceilings, a reading nook with bench seat and storage, and an ergonomically-considered kitchen layout.

 

A wrap-around deck elevates the property above the township while raking ceilings in the separate lounge with a large fireplace - which faces the main entrance - are reminiscent of a lodge-like retreat ideal for cooler weather. Inside, the clients opted for a warm yet neutral palette, and on the exterior, low maintenance plaster and schist detailing keep it traditional and timeless.

 

Excavation work allowed our team to build a large garage on the story below at the south-east end of the property with an internal staircase into the main living area.
